For captains & management

Know who is onboard. Know what needs attention.

Deckpass turns gangway activity into a current operating picture for captains, pursers, SSOs, and yacht managers - without adding friction to the arrival itself.

The decision view

Clarity at the level of responsibility.

The gangway team needs speed. Leadership needs confidence in the live picture and a direct path into the evidence behind it. Deckpass keeps both views connected to the same operating record.

    What needs attention?

Surface long-onboard visits, missing evidence, unresolved print output, and operational exceptions before they become handover problems.

From summary to evidence

Open the detail without losing the operating picture.

Move from vessel posture into the person or company behind a number. Review who is present, why they are aboard, how long they have been onboard, what evidence is attached, and which action is appropriate.

One record, different responsibilities

Useful to the people who carry the decision.

Deckpass keeps the public arrival experience separate from the crew workspace while giving each responsible role the level of context they need.

01Captain / master

A current operational posture.

Review live presence, visitor mix, today’s flow, attention items, and the quality of the supporting record from one calm summary.

02Purser / SSO

Control with working detail.

Move from the summary into a person, company, visit, badge, conditions, photo, signature, or exception without rebuilding the context.

03Yacht management

Usable evidence after the day.

Use visit history, operational exports, company context, and shift handover notes for review beyond the immediate gangway workflow.

The operating rhythm

Before traffic. During the day. At handover.

Oversight is more valuable when it follows the whole visit rather than appearing only after an incident.

Before

Know what is expected.

Review imported arrivals, companies, hosts, and the shape of the day before the first queue forms.

Live

See the vessel posture.

Keep the onboard picture, evidence coverage, visitor mix, exceptions, and long-onboard people visible.

Close

Leave a usable record.

Resolve departures carefully, export when required, and leave a shift note that explains what still matters.

Captain & management FAQ

Questions leadership teams ask before rollout.

Clear boundaries matter. Deckpass strengthens the visitor operating record while keeping security authority and physical access decisions with the vessel.

01What can a captain see in Deckpass?

The Oversight workspace brings together the live onboard headcount, companies, visitor and contractor mix, evidence coverage, arrival and departure flow, long-onboard visits, badge coverage, exceptions, and supervisor tools. The exact record depends on the vessel configuration and information captured during each visit.

02Can supervisors sign visitors or contractors out?

Yes. Authorised supervisors can sign out an individual, use a guarded bulk sign-out for selected onboard contractors or visitors, and restore a departure when a closeout was made in error. These actions are designed as controlled interventions, not silent data cleanup.

03Can management review how long a company has been onboard?

Yes. Company context can show the people currently onboard from that company, individual time onboard, the company’s earliest active arrival, and related visit history so supervisors can understand the duration and operational footprint behind the headcount.

04Does Deckpass replace the vessel security system?

No. Deckpass manages the visitor and contractor workflow around identity, vessel conditions, badges, onboard status, departures, evidence, and oversight. It complements the vessel’s physical access control, CCTV, security procedures, and crew authority rather than claiming to replace them.

05Can a management company use Deckpass across more than one vessel?

A single vessel can begin directly with the Deckpass Vessel plan. Management companies, family offices, and fleets can discuss a guided multi-vessel rollout with workspace structure and onboarding aligned to their operating model.
