The visitor surface

Hospitality in front. Vessel rules underneath.

The kiosk stays calm because the vessel configures the decisions in advance: enabled languages, person types, conditions, signature, photo policy, badge posture, and the actions shown on the welcome screen.

Complete workflow coverage

The functions that make the product operational.

Deckpass does more than collect a name at reception. The preparation, live intervention, physical badge, onboard status, evidence, and follow-up record stay connected.

01

Expected-arrivals preparation

Download the CSV template, validate rows before import, and prepare tomorrow's visitors and contractors before traffic starts.

02

New and returning arrivals

Handle pre-registered people, unexpected walk-ups, and returning contractors without forcing one rigid reception flow.

03

Conditions and evidence

Record the configured vessel conditions, language used, signature, optional photo, host, purpose, and work-area context.

04

Badge and print recovery

Preview the exact saved layout, dispatch locally, recover a failed job, and issue a replacement without checking the person in twice.

05

Live onboard visibility

See who is currently onboard, search the roster, review attention items, and sign people out individually or through guarded closeout tools.

06

Captain-ready oversight

Review evidence coverage, long-onboard visits, exceptions, visit history, exports, and shift-handover information from one supervisor surface.

Product FAQ

What teams ask before seeing Deckpass live.

The product boundary, arrival types, languages, printing choices, and deployment model - answered without hiding the operational details.

01What does Deckpass manage at the gangway?

Deckpass manages visitor and contractor arrival, returning-person lookup, vessel conditions, signatures, optional photos, badge printing, live onboard status, departures, operational recovery, visit history, and supervisor oversight.

02Can Deckpass handle expected, unexpected, and returning people?

Yes. Expected people can be imported before the day starts, unexpected arrivals can be registered at the gangway, and returning people remain searchable so the operator can confirm the new visit without recreating the person from scratch.

03Which visitor languages are available?

The visitor kiosk supports English, French, German, Spanish, Dutch, Arabic, Polish, and Italian, including right-to-left presentation for Arabic. The crew workspace remains in English.

04Does Deckpass require a specific badge printer?

No. The Brother QL-570 with DK-11202 label stock is the proven Deckpass recommendation, not a requirement. Other supported Brother QL and Zebra profiles can be selected and physically tested during setup.

05How does Deckpass work with unreliable connectivity?

Deckpass supports connectivity-resilient deployment. A vessel-hosted installation can keep the core workflow local, while an online workspace can use the restricted Deckpass Local Bridge to dispatch authorised print jobs through the onboard printer computer.
